Sefton Coastline

Produced along the Sefton Coast in Merseyside, this series was made within a landscape of estuary, saltmarsh, wetland and dune habitats that support some of the most important wildlife populations in North West England.

 Extending from the edge of the Port of Liverpool to the open coastline, the area forms a meeting point between industry, migration routes and dynamic tidal environments. The images were made across sites shaped by seasonal change, shifting weather and the continual movement of water and sediment. Together they draw from a coastline of remarkable ecological richness, where diverse habitats exist alongside a heavily modified and working landscape.
