Local Patch documents a landscape that plays an important role in both wildlife conservation and personal wellbeing. 

Situated within minutes of home, this area of hilly farmland, mixed woodland and dense hedgerows provides habitat for birds, insects and mammals while contributing to a wider network of connected green spaces. 

Developed through regular visits over an extended period, the work reflects an ongoing relationship with the natural world and a close familiarity with the seasonal rhythms of the landscape. Access to open views across the Firth of Forth and the Pentland Hills, together with frequent encounters with wildlife, continues to shape the way the area 
is experienced, observed and recorded.
